Women and Strength

The Strength of a Women
I had a very interesting dream the other night that I have to share! The setting of the dream was some type of outdoor venue, sunny, a lot of people (particularly women) including myself, and we were surrounded by these massive mountains!
Everyone was standing around trying to take in their surroundings and examine these steep and huge size mountains! You could feel the tension in the air of being overwhelmed and anxious but not knowing what to do.
Then, from out of the blue, this women comes out of no where with a baby jog-stroller that she was pulling up (not pushing) by a strap up the tallest mountain we had ever seen! It was the strangest thing but everyone was in amazement because, the hill was so steep yet, she was running and pulling this stroller by a strap up the mountain with such grace and ease! I remember just being in awe of this woman's strength. I had to meet her and just shake her hand! Of course, like most of my dreams, by the time I found her I woke up, it was over!
I thought about this dream the next day, all day! I was just in awe of this woman! Now, I have to admit that I am no pshychologist but I love to try and analyze these outrageous dreams that come my way from time to time. In my mind, the mountains were very much like everyday life. Just mountains and mountains of things we try and get through. Whether it is work, family or just keeping up with daily tasks . . . it can be so overwhelming, that you just stand there and look at it and wonder how did I get here?
I think that it is OK to just stand there, step back and observe because you never know who will show up in your life and display a power that you may need to get through your day! They could be the PUSH you need to defeat that mountain of labor!
Throughout the month of April, I have come across some very interesting women and good friends that show their strength in ways, I never would have thought of. I met a beautiful woman through a networking event that was having her eighth child! You heard me, number 8! Yet, by just listening to her, she had the strength of a horse and walked in the room with such grace and poise!
I have a good friend that taught herself how to use her mind over matter and she broke a slab of cement with her bare hand! Her bare hand! There were other individuals that severly hurt themselves but she knew deep down that it was done and she did it!
I could go on and on because I am surrounded by good, positive and strong women, but I want to leave you with this . . .
When you celebrate Mother's Day this month, not only celebrate the person but celebrate their strength and let them know how special they are in your life! It may not be your mother but a woman that could be a mother, mentor or just inspiration! Recognize what they can offer by just being who they are and how they can make a difference in your life!
This is dedicated to Jennifer, Tori, my Aunt Bonnie and, of course, my Mom!
Stay Active and Positive!
